Loft Case Study – Supreme Court Western Australia

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

The Supreme Court WA is the State’s highest court, with responsibility for both criminal and civil matters.

Project Brief

Provide conceptual design and development for the Supreme Court Annual Review 2008. The document presentation had to meet the corporate identity and brand management requirements. It was essential to ensure the highest level a confidentiality regarding the content contained within the review and deliver both factual and statistical information relevant to the legal professional. The review is distributed to parliament, including other relevant government agencies, the academic world and other inspectorial or regulatory bodies in Australia and overseas.

It was a requirement for a PDF document to be available via the website, includes content page navigation.

Project Performance and Outcome

Our Creative Director managed this project to ensure the confidential and sensitive nature of this document was maintained throughout the methodologies of this project. The recommendations provided included onsite photography and revision of graphical tables/charts.

The Loft Group print management network provided a digital printing method to ensure budget requirements were achieved in-line with the project distribution quantities and budget. The diverse level of communication with all parties highlights our effectiveness to manage the channels of communication and confidentiality of such a high profile project scope. The Loft Group delivered on our promises throughout the projects.

The Supreme Court WA has since involved The Loft Group in additional projects and has confirmed our involvement in the Annual Review 2009.

Loft Case Study – Murdoch University Annual Report Online

Friday, November 6th, 2009

Murdoch University is an astute Western Australian tertiary education and research institution with a five-star graduate satisfaction rating.

Project Brief

Provide conceptual design and development for the Murdoch University online annual report. Murdoch University has a commitment to conducting its education, research and corporate activities in a sustainable way. In keeping with this commitment, a priority for Murdoch was to adapt its reporting practices to produce limited hardcopies of their annual report, encouraging stakeholders, customers, partners, students, employees and donors to access the more eco-friendly version of the report online.

Project Performance and Outcome

In presenting our creative ideas, a conceptual mock-up and information architecture of the annual report website was developed. Through a strong understanding of Murdoch’s requirements, The Loft Group produced an aesthetically pleasing, user-friendly, organised and easy to navigate online annual report website. The benefits of The Loft Group’s online annual report solution included the saving of energy, trees and water, reducing waste and greenhouse gases.

Brewing Up Business Success

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

The Brew has been a fantastic experience. It is encouraging that there are so many entrepreneurs thriving in Perth amid economic uncertainty. This experience is proving to pay dividends, meeting many enthusiastic business owners and company employees. The Loft have established some valuable B2B links which will be mutually beneficial moving forward.

I had an interesting conversation with a NetRegistry Marketing team member. Originally coming from a boutique agency background as a web designer (helping to promote other businesses), she has used her industry skills to step into an event management role. I find it fascinating that her skillset established through web design has been compatible with her new career path.

Back on topic, the “Branding… There is more to it than meets they Eye” presentation was successful. Graeme’s intervention proved to be a big help in providing a client’s view in the branding process. Nick confidently presented his involvement in creating the OptimumHMS brand, explaining the step by step process in a revealing ‘behind the scenes’ case study. The imagery used in the presentation was very powerful in representing the problem -> solution based exposé.  We received some promising feedback after the presentation, with an influx of traffic at the booth. We are looking forward to participating again, whether it be at The Brew or at other conventions / exhibitions.

Over and out.
